Micanite Rigid

Micanite Rigid M&P comes in the form of rigid laminated sheet after laminating, pressing and baking process, consists of quality muscovite, phlogopite mica paper impregnated with high temperature resistant organic silicon resin as binding agent.

Application

To implement resistor support, especially for heating elements in toasters, hair dryers.
To manufacture closed heating elements such as heater bands, heating elements, clothes irons and presses, kettles, cooking appliances, heating elements for extrusion machines;
To used as thermal insulation in circuit breakers such as divider between components affected by a high heat loads.

Processing
Micanite Rigid M&P is a rigid mica sheet which can easily punched. Tools for punching precise parts should be provided with spring loaded hold down plates.
Micanite Rigid MSS & PSS is a rigid mica sheet (Muscovite alternatively Phlogopite) with higher density, a higher flexural strength and a smoother surface  pressed by steel plate instead of glass fabric). The SS type is most suitable for punching highly detailed pieces or when imprinting is required.
